My work is a sustained attempt to find what is universal inside what is personal. Observation is my instinct: the frame arrests my attention; the photograph bounds a moment that comes alive only in retrospect. When I sit with my images afterward, they tell me things beyond what instinct captured — contradictions I hadn’t noticed, questions I hadn’t thought to ask. My films are born from the same instinct: an inquiry-driven practice that moves between individual lives and the forces shaping them, turning the lens outward as a way of turning it inward.
